Our previous blog featured our selection of EZGO golf cart parts, which included enclosures, side nerf bars for 4 and 6 passenger models, and 36V and 48V chargers. Prime Cart Parts, our golf cart parts and accessories online store, also features a variety of Club Car golf cart parts, for DS or Precedent models, from 4 passenger to 6 passenger. Like our EZGO parts, our Club Car parts include side nerf bars and enclosures, but we also have motor controllers as well as a folding back seat kit that can be installed on a 2 passenger Club Car to turn it into a 4 passenger – it can also be used as a replacement for a damaged back flip seat on a 4 passenger cart. At our Fort Lauderdale store, along with golf cart rental and sales, we also sell various new and used golf cart battery brands, from 6 volt, 8 volt, to 12 volt. Recently, we received a large amount of used batteries, all in good condition; they are waterfilled, cleaned, and charged before being put out for sale, so they are ready to go once picked up. Many customers use 6V and 12V batteries for solar power, and our used batteries are a great, affordable choice to buy in groups of 4 to 8.

EV Calibur Golf Cart | America EV EV Calibur | Luxury Golf Cart

Along with the California Roadster and 39 Roadster, another one of our America EV luxury golf carts is the EV Calibur golf cart, designed after a similar luxury car and assembled in the US with high-quality parts. America EV, our own luxury golf cart company headquartered at our main location in Riviera Beach, has a highly trained and professional team building these specialized golf carts and carefully inspecting them before sending them to one of our store locations.

EV Calibur Golf Cart

Some of our EV Calibur golf cart are already street legal, with a 17-digit VIN number, and thus only require a tag and title. Others are only street ready, meaning they have all the features needed to be registered as a street legal low speed vehicle (LSV), but don’t have registration yet. Safety features include headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, and seat belts.

Like our other golf carts, the EV Calibur can be customized with a variety of accessories and features. Standard colors are black, white, burgundy, and silver, but for an affordable cost, customers can choose virtually any color for their golf cart. Customers can also request if they would like their cart to come with a roof, color matched and attached with stainless steel support bars. Other accessories that can be added include a lithium battery upgrade, Sony X plod AM/FM CD player with speakers, storage basket, cart cover, security system, and more. Our locally owned custom golf cart company, America EV, headquartered in Riviera Beach, FL, has many types of luxury carts that customers and spectators love, such as the California Roadster and 39 Roadster, both available to view in our golf cart gallery. Another popular America EV cart is the EV Wagon golf cart, based off a similar luxury car model and coming with all the features of a street legal golf cart. Many customers ask about increasing the speed of their golf cart. This kind of upgrade is done through the golf cart’s motor controller, a service that we offer. One of the industry’s best controllers is the Navitas AC motor controller, which we sell both by itself, and offer installation at our service center.

About Navitas AC Motor Controller

The Navitas AC motor controller can be programmed to increase the speed and power of a golf cart, as well as offer more miles per charge, and is small and easy to install. They are designed for various types of golf carts, including Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, Star, Advanced EV, and more. The Navitas AC motor controller also has regenerative braking, meaning when the golf cart brakes, excess energy is reserved in order to extend the charge. An app for the Navitas controller is also available to be downloaded on both iOS and Android phones, where customers can easily check vehicle status, as well as remotely lock their vehicle, monitor usage and performance, or notify their dealers with diagnostic information.

One of our well-known carts, both for rental and for sale, are our Mokee golf carts, made by our own company America EV headquartered in Riviera Beach, FL. All of our America EV golf carts, which include the California Roadster and 39 Roadster as well as the Mokee, are assembled with brand new parts at our Florida location. Until now, our Mokee golf cart has only come as a 4 passenger model. We have just begun to produce our all new 6 passenger Mokee golf cart, with the same great features that make the 4 passenger Mokee, only with additional seating.

6 Passenger Mokee Golf Cart

The 6 passenger Mokee golf cart has the same smooth tires and sturdy body as the 4 passenger, only with 2 additional seats in the back. These back seats can also be folded down for extra storage space. They are street legal low speed vehicles (LSVs), and come with a 17-digit VIN, along with all safety features of a street legal golf cart. These include headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, side view mirrors, seat belts, and a maximum speed of approximately 24mph. LSV carts can be driven on roads with a speed limit of 35mph or less.

One of our most popular golf cart rental delivery locations is our Miami golf cart rental and the various nearby cities and towns in Dade county. Street legal golf carts, which have a maximum speed of 24mph, are required on main roads, and can drive on roads with a speed limit of 35mph or less. Electric bikes are also incredibly popular in Miami, another rental service we offer.

Some very popular tourist areas of Miami Beach include Lincoln Road, where various shops, restaurants, and galleries can be visited, along with the internationally respected New World Symphony, Arts Center South Florida, and the Colony Theater. Miami Beach Boardwalk is also lined with shops and hotels, and is a perfect place to bring one of our electric bike rentals, which we have recently begun offering within the last year. Many of our E-bikes fold up for easy storage and transport, so you can take one of our golf carts from your hotel, park nearby, then unfold an Ebike for a great journey down this beach-adjacent trail.

Also near Miami Beach is the Wynwood art district, with incredible artistic attractions including Wynwood Walls, where a large space is covered by huge, colorful street murals painted by various artists from all over the world, as well as the RC Cola Plant and the Paradox Museum. Between Miami Beach and the rest of Miami on the mainland is Watson Island, home to the theme park Jungle Island, where you can find almost 3,000 different animal, bird, and plant species, as well as trails and a petting zoo. These destinations are all within a few miles of each other, perfect for the 20-25 mile range our street legal golf carts can drive.

By far, the most well-known destination spot in Miami Gardens is the Hard Rock Stadium, one of the most popular stadiums for concerts, sporting events, and more. We’ve had customers of all sorts rent for the Hard Rock Stadium – from tourists on vacation to workers at the event sites. Our non street legal golf carts, particularly our 6 passenger carts, are incredibly popular for job and event sites such as this one, as they are great for shuttling guests to and from various areas of the stadium, and don’t need to be street legal to be driven on stadium roads. Miami Lakes Carts Rental

Miami Lakes is home to Main Street, a street filled with various shops and places to eat, as well as the Senator Course at Shula’s Golf Club. As one of Miami’s best championship golf courses, the Senator Course has over 500 acres of sprawling land with a par 72 18-hole championship course, for players of all skill levels. For golf courses, our 2 passenger non street legal carts are the best option, as most of them come with various accessories made specifically for golf. This includes golf bag holders in the back, a sand bottle holder, and a score card holder on the steering wheel – complete with a clip to hold a pencil as well. If you have a bigger group, our 4 passenger non street legal and 6 passenger non street legal carts are great as well, though they are not allowed at every golf course – please check with the golf course you are visiting to make sure there are no restrictions. 4 passenger and 6 passenger carts have back seats that fold down into a flat surface, great for transporting materials of all sorts.

The Miami Shores Country Club is another golf course where one of our 2 passenger non street legal carts would be perfect for easy travel. This country club is also well-known for their great dining experience, with a large sunken bar and a great view of the rest of the course.

Golf Cart Lithium Batteries | Lithium Battery Upgrade | BSLBATT Battery

Many sources have confirmed that upgrading to a golf cart lithium battery can bring several benefits to golf cart owners. Increased mileage is one of the main ones: Lead-acid batteries can typically travel 15-25 miles on a charge, and the cart may start to lose speed the lower the charge gets, while golf cart lithium batteries can easily reach over 40 miles without slowing down. Some brands of lithium battery can even drive nearly 100 miles before needing to be charged. When a lead-acid battery gets very low, it can sometimes take up to 18 hours to fully recharge, and sometimes may be too low to pick up a charge – when this happens, it will need to be supercharged. Lithium batteries do not have this problem, and can easily bounce back from being at as low as a 5% charge, recharging in just a few hours. Typically, lithium batteries take about 5 hours to fully recharge. Lead-acid batteries last around 1-2 years before they need to be replaced, while some lithium battery brands can last up to 10 years, saving customers expenses in the long run. Other benefits include less weight on the golf cart – switching from a system of lead-acid batteries to a single lithium battery can take up to 400 pounds off a cart -, and no harmful fumes – lead-acid batteries are filled with hazardous chemicals that can be harmful if touched, but lithium batteries have none, and require no maintenance either.

BSLBATT Golf Cart Lithium Batteries

Our newest type of lithium battery we’ve begun stocking has been the BSLBATT lithium battery, available as 67AH, 104AH, 134AH, and 156AH models. BSLBATT’s rugged battery management system (BMS) is installed in every golf and marine battery. The state of the art battery management system protects the batteries from under voltage, over voltage, and will shut the battery down if a cell is out of balance. LifePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is the safest battery chemistry available, and is non combustible / non flammable. The BSLBATT’s BMS is integrated in each battery and will detect any problems with the performance of the battery and shut down any cells not functioning properly. The BMS will also protect the batteries from over-charging or undercharging. BSLBATT batteries are great for long term storage. To store correctly: fully charge the battery, unplug charger, flip the golf cart switch to tow mode and press the power button on the side of the battery.

Allied Lithium Battery

The Allied “commercial” line has a Bluetooth enabled BMS that communicates directly with the Allied app. Available for Apple and Android phones, it will automatically set up with the battery. With the app, users can view the safety protection dashboard, as well as turn the charger on and off, and turn the battery pack on and off. The app can also tell you the remaining AH and voltage, remaining discharge time, as well as the remaining charge time current. Along with that, it will also state the amp draw current cell, temperature voltage of individual cells, and lifetime power cycle.

Recently, we’ve begun to deliver many more rentals to the Florida Keys, the chain of islands at the bottom of the state with hundreds of attractions for tourists to check out. Most activities in the Florida Keys relate to water, such as fishing, diving/snorkeling, boating, visiting the beach, swimming with dolphins, kayaking, paddleboarding, glass bottom boating, and many more, but in this list, we’ll go over just a few other attractions and points of interest to check out in each area of the Florida Keys, to make the most of your Keys golf cart rental. Key Largo Golf Cart Rental

As the largest and first island, Key Largo has many places to visit, including the Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, where you can find over a hundred bird residents such as owls, falcons, hawks, pelicans, parrots, and more. Swimming with dolphins is also very popular in Key Largo, and many dolphin centers offer this option as either a one-on-one meeting, or snorkeling with a group of dolphins. Islamorada Cart Rental

Islamorada is called the “fishing capitol of the world” and is a great place for big game fishing, with opportunities to book a spot on a private charter or party boat for fishing near the Gulf Stream. Theatre of the Sea is also located in Islamorada, a marine park where you can swim with dolphins as well as see sea lions, sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles. For those interested in history and archeology, the Windley Key Fossil Reef State Geological Site has long walls of fossilized coral reef.

Marathon Cart Rental

Marathon is home to Key Colony Beach, where golfing is an activity – although many customers who rent our golf carts use them more for driving on the street. This is another area where diving, fishing, and water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding are very prevalent; the Barge wreck and Sombrero Reef are just a couple great dive locations. Also in Marathon is the famous Seven Mile Bridge, and the Florida Keys Aquarium.

Lower Keys Golf Cart Rental

The lower Keys include Big Pine Key and several other small islands, including No Name Key, a very small location with a population under 100 where the endangered Key deer can be seen roaming among the trees. Key deer are a small species of deer only found in the Florida Keys, more specifically in this area, and on Big Pine Key, you can visit the National Key Deer Refuge and see 9,200 acres of land that includes hundreds of plant and animal species, 23 of which are endangered. Bahia Honda State Park, located just a few miles south of Big Pine Key, is ranked one of the best places to camp in the country, with one of the best beaches and dozens of spots for RV parking.

Key West Golf Cart Rental

Key West is the final island in the chain and is definitely where the majority of the attractions are located, with tons of history and places to visit. If you’ve ever seen a car with a Mile 0 bumper sticker, this is where you’ll find that mile marker – it marks the end of the highway US-1. Duval Street is where many interesting attractions are, such as a Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum. Key West also has a public 200 acre 18-hole golf course, so if you’re looking to rent a 2 passenger cart to easily travel around the golf course, this is where you’ll find one of the larger ones. One of the oldest cemeteries in the country is also located in Key West. If you’re a person who likes to bring back souvenirs, Key West is where you’ll find dozens of shops with products from T-shirts to keychains to decorations.
